“The Great Forest” is the ancient name given to this narrow valley…
Willows, chestnut trees, hornbeams, beech trees give the valley its montainous aspect but full of life. Serchio river, which flows in the valley floor, is noourished by several streams which come along from Appennino’s valleys and from Apuan Alps.
