Melissa Officinalis (or Melissa) is a leafy herb which grows spontaneously. This rural plant is often sought by bees and that is the reason why it is named from greek “mélissa”. It grows in southern Europe and Western Asia while in Italy it can be found along hedges and shady areas.
Melissa is often cultivated in gardens, it id appreciated for itd medicinal properties and used also as an herb.
